Rajasthan is a land of blistering Sun, blowing air and vast tracts of barren land. The availability of both solar and wind resources have been created the scope of harnessing solar and wind energy individually as well in hybrid form. The natural advantages of renewable energy sources make Rajasthan as a most preferable destination for investors and developers.
Rajasthan has emerged as a model of excellence in Renewable Energy Sector with a target of 30 GW of solar, 4 GW of Wind and 3.5 MW of hybrid by 2025 through various conducive policy measures. Presently, REcapacity constitutes 35% of the total installed capacity and Rajasthan ranks 2nd in Solar capacity in India.
RE Policies, 2019 provided various schemes like Decentralized RE projects, RE projects with storage system, RE based EV charging Stations, Solar Rooftop Projects, Re-powering of existing wind mills, Hybridization of existing solar/ wind power plants etc.
Rajasthan successfully commissioned world’s largest Solar Park of 2245 MW capacity at Bhadla (Jodhpur). Three more Solar Parks viz. 1500 MW Fatehgarh, 750 MW Phalodi- Pokran and 925 MW Nokh are being developed in State. As per latest bidding by SECI, the ever lowest tariff of Rs. 2.00 per unit has been discovered for 1070 MW capacity of solar power projects |
